Your Next Paradigm Shift

By: Monique Myers – SuccessfullyHome

What is a Paradigm you ask?

A Paradigm is sort of a fancy word for habit or pattern.

A Paradigm is a mental program that has almost exclusive control over our habitual behavior.

So, for example, you probably get up on the same side of your bed every morning, put on your clothes in the same order -even which leg you put in your pants first, brush your teeth in the same way, put your makeup on in the same order and pattern, make your breakfast and coffee or tea in the same manner, and drive the same route to work every day.

Sounds familiar?

It doesn’t stop there! We even respond to circumstances the same way, on automatic, without even thinking about it.

Remember that last time your colleague did something that really irritated you? As a matter of fact, it irritates you EVERY time she does it, right?

Or what about your boss, who  ALWAYS seems to sneak up on you and all of a sudden stands behind you and makes you jump when he starts talking?

Where do you eat lunch? What do you eat? What do you do on Sundays, Mondays?

Why do you do what you do?

What do you think on a very regular basis? How do you feel most of the time?

Why do you think you make $50,000 a year and not $250,000?

Okay…this is not an exhaustive list, but I think you get the picture.

So…where does a Paradigm come from?

Basically, a Paradigm is programmed into us between the ages of roughly 0 and 7 years old.

During those years we really do not have the capacity to decide whether or not somethings is true or right. We are completely open and receive as truth whatever goes on around us.

What do our primary caregivers talk about, say, feel, do? What is playing on the radio, tv? What are our teachers telling and teaching us?

Then, later on, since we really haven’t learned how to distinguish truth from lies, we continue to build upon, and thus strengthen, our set of beliefs and Paradigm. We just accept it. It is the way things are.

We may wonder why we start crying every time someone tries to talk about your future, your ambitions. It seems so random, you don’t want to cry, you even know it is not a normal response…and still, you cry. You can’t help it. That is one example of your Paradigm at work. Where does it come from? Programming.

You may really want to finally earn more than $50K a a year. You keep trying, but year after year, it still comes out to $50K! It’s not that you don’t try, it is because you are programmed to earn $50 and YOUR Paradigm is in total control.

The key to freeing yourself from these Paradigms, or mental programming, is awareness and understanding of them.  Couple that with a little bit of faith and you’re on your way to real and true FREEDOM!

Mentally, financially, in your relationships, in every area of your life – FREE AT LAST!

Faith based on understanding is the true key to freedom – blind faith is useless. With the first bump in the road it’s gone.

Several times a year, Bob Proctor and Sandy Gallagher facilitate a Paradigm Shift Event. You can participate right from the comfort of your own home!

I block off the time in my calendar, make sure I have enough coffee, tea, and snacks on hand, and follow it in real time. Then, you get a couple of weeks to review and relive the event at your convenience.

It has made a HUGE difference in my life! I have changed habits, created better habits, and have so much more understanding and compassion for the people around me – after all, they all have their own Paradigm.

If you want to learn more about it and find out how much it is, you can check here or click on the picture in the top right hand corner of this page.
